Welcome to my Corner

My hope for this blog is to bring friends together. I love to read and love visiting with new found friends with many loves similar to mine, we found each other through a Facebook page called Keeping Up With The Amish.

I have met many new friends and wonderful Authors and Bloggers. I hope that they will want to post about new releases and their adventures as writers. I know I have much to learn as a blogger but we shall see where it leads me.

I will post some of my crafts, book reviews, favorite recipes, and this and that. Things that I want to share and hope you will enjoy.

My most recent adventure took my husband and I to Lititz, PA, 1,200 miles in 3.5 days.  We left  West Chester, OH on Thursday afternoon and and traveled to Belle Vernon, PA and stayed the night there.  Friday morning we moved on and arrived in Quarryville, PA.  There we went to a Benefit Sale and Bake Sale, where I had the pleasure to meet Cindy L. from the Amish page.

Next we were off to Intercourse, PA for a quick trip to the Candle Barn. Following that stop we traveled to Lititz,PA. In Lititz we stayed at a cute little B & B called Carter Run Inn and the owner is 85 years old, her and her husband are a joy. Once we checked in we headed to a wonderful dinner at Lititz Family Cupboard with Author Amy Lillard, her assistant Stacey Barbalace, and several ladies from the Keeping up with the Amish page. What a joy to put faces and hugs with names I have read many times over the last year. Then our little group invaded a really cute quaint bookstore in Lititz, AAron's Books, where Amy had a book signing. We had so much fun helping (not helping) kids find Waldo.

Saturday we got up early to a drizzle of rain but headed to Coleman Memorial Chapel, where they held an Auction and Sale for the benefit of the Chapel. Amy had donated a homemade Amish Quilt that really contributed to the Chapel. Then we made a trek to Richfield, PA about 1 hour and 40 minutes away to a really neat book store called  Guardian Angel Book store for a Mystery Tea and Luncheon with Amy Lillard.  Following the tea we went back to the B & B and had a quite evening reading and enjoying each others company.

Sunday Morning we were on the road again and got back to West Chester, OH about 5:00 PM. It was a quick trip but a great time with new friends, Tina, Loretta, Linda, Lynne (and her granddaughter Skylar, Patti, Elaine, Amy, and Stacey.

Until Next time,
Stay Cozy,
Connie
